Annual Volunteer Supper 2025

What better way to kick off National Volunteers' Week than by sharing some wonderful memories from our Volunteer Thank You Supper, held on 9th April.

This cherished annual event is our way of honouring the incredible contributions our volunteers make to Clwyd Special Riding Centre. They are truly the heartbeat of everything we do – without them, none of it would be possible.

Guests enjoyed a delicious home-cooked meal, lovingly prepared by Catherine Duff, daughter of our founder, Anne Sopwith. It was a real treat that brought everyone together to share stories, laughter, and make new connections.

After dinner (and perhaps a little too much wine!), we switched gears for a lively quiz, followed by the much-anticipated Volunteer Awards presentation.

Each year, choosing award recipients becomes more difficult – every one of our volunteers deserves recognition for the passion, time, and care they give so generously.

This year, our ‘Volunteer of the Year Award’ went jointly to: Diane Porter and Mandy Lloyd; and our ‘Young Volunteer of the Year’ went to Katy Cowan. See a full list of award winners below the photos. Congratulations everyone!
